Lauren Carranza
founder + principal designer
Lauren Carranza is the Founder and Principal Designer of Seasons for Design, where she leads the creative vision and design of every project from concept through installation. Her approach combines creativity, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of how people live and experience their homes.
Before becoming an interior designer, Lauren spent nearly 15 years as a clinical social worker, including leadership roles in supportive housing and child welfare. That experience continues to shape the way she works today—particularly how she listens, asks questions, solves problems, and guides clients through the many decisions involved in creating a home.
Lauren earned her Associate Degree in Interior Design from Montgomery College, where she developed the technical foundation behind her creative work. She believes interior design is about much more than selecting beautiful things; it requires an understanding of space planning, scale and proportion, materials, lighting, construction details, and how all of those elements come together to create a home that is both beautiful and functional.
Lauren also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Dickinson College.
